School Supplies Are Expensive

According to the Huntington Backpack Index, a barometer for household spending on school supplies and related fees, the yearly costs of school supplies continue to rise year over year. The average high schooler can expect to pay over $1,600 in costs for school supplies marking a large burden for low-income families.

Why Graphing Calculators?

Graphing calculators are often the most expensive tool a high school student may be required to purchase. While some schools supply their own calculators, this is not always an option, and it may not be realistic for a student to acquire a calculator on their own. Not having a graphing calculator could even put you at a disadvantage among your peers.

By addressing one of the most expensive needs a student may have, a more equitable educational experience could be created for classrooms regardless of a student’s financial situation.
